I have been published in:-

Therapy Today, the BACP journal for counsellors and psychotherapists writing about self-concept, chronic pain and pain acceptance and self-care. I have been interviewed for my thoughts and opinions on Long-Covid, chronic pain prevalence and incidence, together with social anxiety.

The British Heart Foundation's Heart Matters magazine writing about the potential experience of anger following a cardiac diagnosis and how to manage anger.

The BACP’s journal for counsellors and psychotherapists in Private Practice writing about mindfulness and ‘spiritual bypassing’.

And more locally to Wrexham, in Essentials Mag, writing about common mental health difficulties (including anxiety, depression, procrastination, pet bereavement).

I regularly review peer articles for (potential) publication in professional journals specific to counselling and psychotherapy (Counselling and Psychotherapy Research), and pain (British Journal of Pain) and have assisted with editing articles for (successful) journal submission.

Presentations
I have presented my Masters research findings related to persistent pain with trainee and qualified counsellors at the University of Chester and have given presentations on my proposed doctoral research to qualified counselors and psychologists. At a BACP research conference, I gave a 20 minute presentation (with a 10 minute Q & A) on my masters research which was very positively received.

I have given experiential presentations on mindfulness and meditation at the MS Society conference and the new pathways/SURE mental health interactive conference. These have all been well received and generated much interest and discussion.

I have also collaborated with Sara Jay Stevens on her published book series. I produced some templates for teachers and youth workers to use to facilitate exploring a mindfulness-based approach to managing worries with primary and secondary school-age children.

As an expert in persistent pain and a highly qualified yoga teacher, I was invited to give a presentation on what yoga teachers need to know about persistent pain to an international group of advanced yoga teacher trainees, made possible by YouTube sensation Brett Larkin (https://www.brettlarkin.com/).

In February 2024, the Uplifted Podcast aired.  I joined yoga entrepreneur Brett Larkin to unravel the mysteries of chronic/persistent pain.  We explored the brain and nervous system and even touched upon phantom limb pain and finding safety in the painful body.  Listen to this fascinating discussion here:
