The Stroke Association calls for more psychological support

The emotional impact of a stroke can be as devastating as the physical effects, warms the Stroke Association.  Depression and anxiety are experienced by over half of the 2,700 stroke survivors that were questioned by the Stroke Association.  Relationship difficulties, loss of confidence and anger were also highly reported.  Carers were also identified as experiencing stress, anger, depression and anxiety.  Counselling may help you to come to terms with the massive impact a stroke may have on you or a loved one.  Contact Kim for further details.
