Look what I found this morning! Kim a Wrexham counsellor shares her musings
Look at the gift I found when walking the dogs this morning and yet I so easily could have missed them. We often go through our days without noticing the small details, as if we are on auto-pilot. This auto-pilot allows us to get on and get through our “to-do-list” without much thought. On a long-distance trip I have found myself in Chester when I needed the Wrexham junction, and I am sure I am not alone in this. I had been on auto-pilot, going through the motions of driving without paying attention to where I was or how I got there, and my head full of thoughts. So when I “woke up” I found myself in a place I didn’t want to be. Try to take a break from your being inside you head, and instead use your senses to take in yourself and your surroundings-your mood will improve, you won’t feel as stressed and you too may find something beautiful which you might otherwise have missed!
