Counsellor Kim discusses opportunities in coaching & counselling.

Christmas feels a long time ago and  my thoughts are turning towards the year ahead and – I have lots planned in the diary outside of the usual “things to do”.  I use coaching strategies to bring about change and adventure in my personal and professional worlds.

Each year I set myself the challenge of trying something/one new thing, and last year it was the zip wire in Snowdonia.  In reality there are usually lots of things I am doing for the first time in any given year but I like to set myself one “big” thing and this year is no exception.  I have a personal and a professional “one big thing” unusually for this year:  a reunion with school friends (some I have only made contact with in the last few weeks).  And professionally-I am presenting my research at a conference.  They feel very exciting sitting here in January and I am sure that excitement will grow the closer the events get.  I am sure the anxiety will also mount!  And so I am again reminded to breath and to face each moment without expectation and it will be what it will be.

And so what about you? What plans have you made to make 2016 different?  How are you going to develop on a personal or professional level?  Counselling and coaching with Kim are great opportunities to get yourself “unstuck” and to gain broader perspectives on where you are and where you want to go.  It may be you want a greater work/life balance or perhaps you’re thinking of a career change…the possibilities are endless.

Kim offers coaching and counselling services where you matter.
